Our oral historians record the stories, thoughts, songs and conversations of those who may feel, or whose loved ones may feel, that these represent "endangered memories." People with Alzheimer's, dementia, terminal illnesses, in life-threatening work (including the military under deployment orders,) or the very old may wish to leave behind their story in their own words.
We record these stories in digital media, broadcast quality, WAV format, and save to both hard drive and back-up server. A copy of the interview is given to the family on archival quality compact disk, along with a creative commons open access release from the interviewer and instructions on providing for future preservation. We commit to doing our best to assist in preservation and offer to help the family find an appropriate archival repository if desired.

Our technicians conduct audio editing and production projects on a "covenant" basis. Examples of our work include podcasts of sermons, oral history clips, and background narration for audio video presentations. We have also recorded and produced video for online presentation.

Training in use of various technologies, including audio editing, basic digital photo editing, use of social networking, "Web 2.0" networking, podcasting, and production of promotional materials in physical media. COW-MMM will produce or assist in the production of tutorials and presentation media.
